At Doorways, our team approach to teen and young adult mental health treatment gives us the opportunity to allow for collaboration between psychiatric providers, counselors, and dietitians in order to offer the best possible treatment for adolescents and young adults.

Every provider at Doorways offers a unique specialty in their training and experience to meet the needs of clients and families. Each of our staff is dedicated to the specialized needs of this age group and committed to the compassionate understanding of their culture and struggles. Many of our providers take insurance. Jan Hamilton is the Founder and CEO of Doorways. She is a Nationally Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in adolescent treatment and is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Jan worked as a registered nurse for 20 years prior to receiving her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona and her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification in 1999. Her desire to provide quality psychological and psychiatric care for adolescents and young adults in an outpatient, faith-based setting led to the opening of Doorways in 2008. She’s passionate about the opportunity for teens, young adults and families to receive the best care possible on their journey of healing!
Heather is the Chief Operating Officer of Doorways. Heather obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Black Hills State University. Heather joins Doorways with several years of professional leadership experience in a variety of private, public, governmental, and non-profit industries. Heather’s broad range of expertise includes all aspects of organizational and performance management. Heather gained several years of leadership experience in South Dakota prior to expanding her career in Phoenix in the areas of post-secondary education and healthcare. Heather enjoys working with the amazing team at Doorways, who open doors of hope and healing! Heather resides in Phoenix with her husband and two sons.
Russ Yost is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, having received the Master of Counseling degree from ASU in 1981. He has worked in behavioral health for over 30 years. Russ is trained in EMDR, a trauma resolution therapy, and provides family and individual counseling. Russ is married with two adult children and enjoys reading and choral singing.

Amy has received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from NOVA University and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver. She holds a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work from the Institute of the Human Animal Connection and partook in the Professional Program in Eating and Weight Disorders at the University of California, Berkeley.  She is committed to working with teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm/suicidal ideation, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, trauma, as well as interpersonal conflict.  Amy is passionate about assisting families to achieve sustainable healing and harmony; recognizing all are worthy of love and belonging. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, coffee, reading, and spending time outside with her family.

Courtney has received her Masters of Counseling from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University. She is passionate about working with teens and young adults, and specializes in working with mood disorders, self-harm/suicidal ideation, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, and trauma. Her goal is to empower clients to be their authentic selves and to walk alongside them on their journey of self-discovery. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys live music, taking her dog on hikes, finding new coffee shops, and thrift shopping.
Maddy is passionate about fostering a safe, non-judgmental space for teens and young adults to process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She has received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado Christian University. Furthermore, she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapeutic modality often used to treat trauma and life experiences that are less than nurturing. Maddy specializes in working with trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal ideations/self-harm, identity development, and interpersonal relationships. Outside of work, Maddy loves spending quality time with her husband and 3-year-old son, getting creative with art and baking, and leaning into personal development.
Lindsey Millenbaugh is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twelve years of experience working with adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use and other issues. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo and her master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. She spent the first part of her career working with adolescents and young adults in Akron, Ohio. She moved to Arizona in the fall of 2018 to be closer to her family and continue her passion of working with youth.
Andrew has worked with adolescents and families in athletics, ministry, and clinical settings for 15 years. He is experienced motivating teens of all walks of life to hope for maturity and transformation. Andrew prioritizes youth working through trauma and parents enduring conflict. 
Jody Pannozzo has over 20 years of experience in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. She graduated from Ohio State University and served as the Sports Nutritionist and Dietitian for The Ohio State Athletic Department. Jody has helped clients combat all types of Eating Disorders, in settings ranging from intensive inpatient to private practice. She has served as a guest speaker and expert for national conferences as well as print and television media. Over the last two decades, she has dedicated her career to offering education and support that encourages others towards a healthy relationship with food and an overall healthy and happy life. When she is not working, she is hiking, reading, doing yoga or cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes with her beautiful family.
Liz Lees is Registered Dietitian with a masters of science in clinical nutrition from Rush University. Liz has over 10 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings offering evidenced based nutrition counseling. She has specialized in treating client’s with digestive related conditions and eating disorder and is passionate in listening to and supporting her client’s unique needs towards recovery and overall wellbeing. Liz and her family love to spend time outdoors connecting with nature and camping in their RV.  

Maddalyn is dietetic extern with a master’s in nutrition science from the University of Alabama at Brimingham. Maddalyn has completed an extensive dietetic internship involving experience with inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. She is extremely passionate about guiding individuals to mend their relationship with food. In her free time Maddalyn enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Istvan Dioszegi is an intern getting his master’s at Fuller Theological Seminary. He moved to the US in 2012 from Romania. Istvan’s background was as a professional athlete for twenty years, coached the Romania Junior National team, and worked for the Romanian Intelligence Service. During his years as an athlete he was fascinated with psychology and mental performance in sport. This resulted in him becoming a high level competitor, coached several champions, and applied performance psychology to his work in the military. Istvan recognizes the difficulty in overcoming mental blocks and not shying away from the emotional experience. His desire is to be a positive presence in kids and families’ lives, taking a direct approach while simultaneously allowing room for his client’s to better understand themselves.
Joy is currently pursuing her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Fuller Seminary and plans to graduate in May of 2023.  Prior to Doorways, Joy has mentored high school students through Young Life. She enjoys walking alongside teens through life transitions, depression, and anxiety. Joy enjoys spending time with family, making pottery, reading, as well as hiking, and running.
Jennifer has worked in the medical field and outpatient substance abuse facilities for over 30 years. She truly enjoys helping clients and families in their healing at Doorways. She is currently the IOP Coordinator at Doorways. In her down time, she enjoys traveling, arts & crafts, reading and spending time with her kitty’s.
Kanaya has lived in Arizona most of her life. She enjoys cooking and trying new recipes especially those related to her Belizean family heritage.
Jessica recently graduated from ASU with a BA in Psychology and is starting her MA in Counseling at Ottawa University.  Jessica has a strong desire to work in the behavioral health field and learn every part of the system. During her free time, she loves to be with her family and friends and baby kitty.

Diseree joins Doorways with 5 years of healthcare industry experience.  Diseree recently moved to Arizona from Los Angeles, CA.  Diseree enjoys helping others and making sure they receive the help they need.  Diseree also enjoys cooking and visiting new places.
